Most Popular Torrent Sites for 2009-10

2009 has been a mixed-bag year for most torrent hosting websites
and torrent trackers, with several being sued, several going legal and several shutting down completely. However, the sites still did well considering the traffic that they served up during the year. Surprisingly, The Pirate Bay (TPB) is still #1 torrent site of the year, with an estimated daily visitors of approx 4.5 million users and page views amounting to more than 26 million per day.

Here are the top 15 torrent sites of the year 2009:

thepirartebay.org
torrentz.com
isohunt.com
mininova.org
btjunkie.org
torrentreactor.net
torrentdownloads.net
monova.org
extratorrent.com
btmon.com
kickasstorrents.com
vertor.com
eztv.it
sumotorrent.com
alivetorrents.com
Most of the top 25 torrent sites for 2009 had an Alexa rank of less than 5000 and Compete rank of under 10000, with TPB coming close to breaking into the top 100. For the complete list of top 25

Wanted to have your own site, create a wiki or build web pages from scratch but do not have money to host it online?

Google today announced on their official blog that Google Sites which had launched if February 2008 for Google Apps users is now available to the public.

If you have been waiting to build your own site from scratch here is a good opportunity to do it.

Google Publicly Releases List of Top 1000 Sites

As a part of offering more options to companies using AdWords, Google has publicly released a list of top 1000 sites on the web. The websites have been ranked based on several factors including unique visitors, pageviews and reach. Not surprisingly, Facebook tops the list with 540 Million unique visitors, followed by Yahoo!, Live and Wikipedia.
Top 1000 Sites
Google AdWords
partners can now specify to restrict their ads on these 1000 sites only. This can be done by going to your AdWords account, going to the “category filters” section and then choosing “non ad planner 1000″ as the category. Doing this will only run your ads on these top 1000 sites and not on any other website unless specifically mentioned.
Clicking on any of the websites gives you a more detailed report on the traffic including average visits per visitor, average time spent on the site and top keywords used to search for the site. The report also includes a list of top sub-domains
as well as a list of audience interests. However, the most interesting part of the report is the ability to drill down and see traffic details for each website at a country level. Simply pick a country from the drop down list and Google will show a detailed report on traffic coming from that specific country. The report was last generated in April 2010 and is supposed to be refreshed every month to reflect updated data.

Future cars tell you where they are parked.

One day cars could tell you where they are parked without you needing to remember.

Background : 5 floors of large parking lot with hundreds of cars often confuses me about where did i park my car. Going home for lunch doubles the confusion as i need to search my car twice. As most of you know during winter basements and parking lots are some of the coldest parts. Its drives you mad searching your car in the cold. I found that I am not the only one to find it hard to remember parking spots after checking with some more people on the way to parking spots. Almost everyone has the same problem once in a while(specially when they are pre-occupied with some thoughts and foget to actively remember where they parked the car).

I was wondering if we had the technology that could tell me where my car is parked on my iPhone.

Options: Yes technologies are already existing to achieve some of these. Here are some of them.
  • iPhone app can locate your parked location- This is the closest option for me. Yes this application can tell me only if I tell the app that i parked my car here(need to choose park here in the application). This does not track your car but remembers the location where I marked the location.
  • Your Car lock key can also beep loudly to tell you where it is located. I do have this feature, but if i am far from my car it does not reach the car.
  • OnStar service of GM is another closest technology that can track your vehicle. But no iPhone app or a website to track your car.
  • There are some keychains availavle that can mark the car location just like iphone app. This makes it a little bit easier, but again those compact devices arent yet as reliable and advanced as other GPS devices are.

    Some advanced thoughts...
If there are 5-10 floors, GPS only marks the location in 2Dimension, so you wont be able to find out the floor where you parked it. There should be some way to figure out the height and map it to the floor number. I am sure some one picks this idea in future and makes a fundo gadget to locate your car.

Conclusion: Man finds more and more ways to get lazy and handover the thinking to machines/gadgets. This is one of mine. I am sure future holds lot of such smart features in cars.

Google celebrating PAC-MAN’s 30th birthday with a bang

I must start out with the fact that the PAC-MAN Doodle was probably one of the best I have seen in a long time, but for the next 48 hours there will be so many annoyed users who will switch from using Google to Bing, just because of the nuisance it creates.

    Google Pacman Doodle

Google is no doubt celebrating PAC-MAN’s 30th birthday with a bang, however, the same bang can cause it to lose a good chunk of the search engine market in the next two days, which is how long the search giant is planning to run the Doodle on their home page.

There is no doubt that the Google Doodle is really cute and gives many people a chance to play the age-old popular game which is still famous, however, once everyone has had their fills, the annoying sound of the PAC-MAN game will come to haunt you when you want to search.

Take for example this recent comment where Julesc was so annoyed with the Google homepage that she decided to use another search engine

, along with pointing us out to the fact that many users are now searching for ways to stop that annoying sounds.

This goes on to show that no matter what you do, you are bound to irk quite a few people on the way, however, I must admit that I personally don’t visit the Google homepage to search and use address bar to satisfy my needs, however, there will be several annoyed users who end up on Google.com and quietly make their way to Bing.com.

What was Google’s mistake in this, plain simple, they forgot to add an option to allow users to turn off the sound, which is forcing users to turn their speakers off. Now thanks to Google, you can expect Bing to rejoice with the sound :-) .

Update: Google has now finally added a mute button to the home page, if you have found the PAC-MAN sound annoying just go and click the sound icon and the problem should be solved.

Pakistan Bans Twitter After Facebook and YouTube

In an attempt to control the controversies over Prophet Mohammad, Pakistan has been banning social networking and video sites left and right. It all started out with a total block of Facebook in Pakistan, which will remain in effect till May 31st or maybe longer.

The next on the line was which was again blocked because of its "growing sacrilegious content". Third in line in the ban list is , where information flows just like butter off a hot knife.

It is not the first time though that governments have used bans to curtail information or freedom, there have been blocks by China, Iran, North Korea, India and many more countries on websites which they deem as problematic. However, is banning websites the best cause of action?

Not exactly, if people want to access information they will find ways to do it, no matter how hard you try to stop them. If one solution fails, another will come up, if that fails, another. The cycle will continue and people will get what they want.

In the end, you are only giving people more eagerness to access what they cannot have. If you do need to keep away from something, the best cause of action would be to talk to the concerned websites and have the content removed, however, governments would argue that you cannot have watchdogs poring over content to find what is right or what is wrong, so just take the easy way out and ban everything in sight.

In my honest opinion, religious sentiments can often go off-hand specially when you are talking about the Internet, however, bans are often not the way to go. It is a human sentiment to want more of what is restricted, however, it is sad that such things have to happen over and over again.

How To Access Facebook In Pakistan?

Quite recently the Pakistan government banned Facebook over controversial Caricatures by some rogue groups which had come up on the site. However, the decision to ban might have left several users who want to access their favorite site in a spot.

There are always ways to circumvent around bans by using proxy servers. If you are a stuck Facebook user from Pakistan and are looking to access Facebook from there, you can always try using a proxy.
In the past we have written several guides on accessing blocked websites, you can read them all below and figure out the best way to access Facebook in your country.
    How to access blocked websites
    Browse the Internet anonymously
Paperbus : Bypass Internet Censors And Access Blocked Sites
These guides should allow you to access the banned Facebook in Pakistan
. If you have any other method which would be useful to our readers, please feel free to share them with us.

YouTube Blocked In Pakistan, Who’s Next?

In another crackdown on the Internet, the Pakistan government have blocked access in the country. Users visiting the site might not be able to access videos on YouTube.

However, this is not the first website to be banned in Pakistan, as they had also blocked access to yesterday over some Controversial Caricatures.
According to a BBC report, Pakistan has blocked YouTube because of its "growing sacrilegious content". In addition to that, there are reports that several Wikipedia pages are also being restricted by the government.
The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority said it had ordered internet service providers to "completely shut down" YouTube and prevent Facebook from being viewed within Pakistan.
Banning websites is not a new phenomenon and countries like China have blocked access to almost every popular social networking sites including Facebook, and . The Indian government in the past has also blocked access to BlogSpot blogs and other websites.
So is the South Asian region more susceptible to banning website and internet freedom? The recent crackdowns don’t give a different picture here.

Windows 7 - FREE Great Programs for Windows 7

DiskDigger -DiskDigger can recover files from any type of media that your computer can read. This includes USB flash drives, memory cards (SD, CompactFlash, Memory Stick, etc), and of course your hard drive. The types of files that it recovers include photos, videos, music, documents, and many other formats. DiskDigger can even scan reformatted or badly formatted disks (disks to which Windows can’t assign a drive letter), and even disks with bad sectors. It bypasses the Windows file system drivers and scans your disk directly. It has its own built-in support for the following file systems: FAT12 (floppy disks), FAT16 (older memory cards), FAT32 (newer memory cards and hard disks), NTFS (newer hard disks), and exFAT (Microsoft’s new successor to FAT32).

FastStone Image Viewer - An image browser, converter and editor that supports all major graphic formats including BMP, JPEG, JPEG 2000, GIF, PNG, PCX, TIFF, WMF, ICO and TGA. It has a nice array of features such as image viewing, management, comparison, red-eye removal, emailing, resizing, cropping, color adjustments, musical slideshow and much more.

Fotosizer -Fotosizer is a freeware batch image resizer tool. It resizes your photos in just 3 easy steps - 1. Photo selection, 2. select resize settings, then 3. Start the resize.

IrFanView - A great graphic viewer and editor like Paint, but a whole lot better. It has a ton of options and is fully customizable with plug-ins and skins. You can use transparency to for thumbnails, etc...

Absolute Uninstaller -Absolute Uninstaller is similar to standard Windows Add/Remove program but more powerful. The standard Add/Remove program can't uninstall applications completely which often leaves broken registry keys, unnecessary files on the hard disk. The more junk files your computer have, the slower it runs. Uninstall Manager can wipe off all the junk files clearly in seconds. It offers a more user-friendly way to remove unneeded applications and to improve your computer efficiency.

Ad-Aware Free - Ad_Aware Free - Anniversary Edition helps give you real-time protection against spyware, trojans, rootkits, hijackers, keyloggers, and more with real-time monitoring, threat alerts, and automatic updates.

DeskSave -In Windows, when screen resolution changes, the order of the desktop icons very often gets mixed up. With DeskSave you can easily recover a previously saved icon layout either manually or automatically.

Latest YouTube hit - water walking!

Three athletic young adventurers have produced a video claiming to show 'one of the most impossible-looking activities that anyone has ever seen' - walking on water.

Ulf Gartner and his friends Sebastian Vanderwerf and Miguel Delfortrie call it 'liquid mountaineering', a new sport that is not only challenging the laws of gravity but is also encouraging thousands of fans to slip on watertight shoes and run as fast as possible into the nearest lake.

Over 2 million people have watched the YouTube video in the past fortnight.

The video shows the men racing in turns into a lake in Portugal. After several false starts they manage up to nine or 10 high-speed tiptoe-like strides before their legs buckle beneath them.

"All you have to do is start running towards the bank of the lake and keep running with top speed. As soon as you touch the water your legs should be going like a sewing machine. You should be just like a stone skimming the surface," the Times quoted Gartner as saying.

Gartner says that rather than a miracle, you just need 'good-quality rubber running shoes'.

Even those who think it is a trick agree it would be one of the cleverest hoaxes on the Internet.

"It might be fake but I have no idea how they made it look so real," one Internet visitor concluded

Sony To Launch The PSP2 At The E3 This Year?

The biggest gaming event of the year – the E3 Expo is just a month away now. This time the E3 expo is going to be held in the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will start onSony PlayStation Portable June 14th and continue until the 17th of June. It is already known that Microsoft will demo the Project Natal, Sony will provide a demo of the PlayStation Move and Nintendo will give us the preview of the Nintendo 3DS.

Now rumors suggest that Sony might announce the PSP2. The original PSP was launched six years ago, and was quite popular among the teenagers. With the passage of time though, the device has lost its charm. The popularity of the Apple iTouch as a gaming device has further pushed the PSP into the oblivion. In the past six years, the Sony PSP hardly got any major makeover. Sony did launch the PSPgo, but the device has been a failure.

Analysts now expect that Sony will launch a new PSP

at the E3 Expo, so as revive the falling PlayStation Portable brand. If Sony does launch the PSP2 at the E3, it will be one of the biggest surprises of this year event.

Download complete websites to your desktop and surf them offline.

Website eXtractor saves you time and effort by downloading entire Internet sites (or the sections you stipulate) to your hard drive.

Whether you browse the web for research, work, or fun, there's nothing worse than having to wait for page after page to load in Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator (or in other popular browsers). The problem is they will only load one page at a time. So if you are viewing a large website with a thousand pages, you'd have to click the mouse a thousand times ... and ... choose a directory/folder a thousands times when you want to save each file. You end up spending a lot of time waiting around and not enough time reading or viewing pages on the Internet.

Note: Using a regular browser to surf large websites or photo galleries takes the fun out of web browsing and makes research a real chore.

But now, with WebSite eXtractor, you can download whole websites (or parts of them) in one go to your computer. You can then view the whole site offline at your leisure - and you can whiz through the saved pages at lightning speed.

WebSite eXtractor is a great tool for researchers, journalists, students, equity analysts, business and marketing executives - as well as for those who want to browse family websites containing digital photo albums.

    Advantages :

    • Transfer whole websites to CD-ROM or floppy
    • Another big benefit of the program is it changes html-links to relative names. In other words, it turns web addresses (URLs) into addresses that work on your computer.
    • Researchers, writers, and journalists can easily archive reference material from the Internet.
    • The program can download up to 100 files at a time, which saves you a huge amount of time compared to ordinary browsers.
    • Website eXtractor automatically lets you download any files that were not copied due to transfer errors or bad connections.

To download the full version use the given torrent :
    http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/3655896/Website_eXtractor_9.52_Retail.3655896.TPB.torrent

If you dont have torrent client download from here :
    http://www.internet-soft.com/DEMO/webextrasetup.exe

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHENEVER YOU'RE USING A public computer (Like INTERNET CAFES. ETC ).

CHECK THE BACK OF THE PC AND SEE IF THE BELOW DEVICE IS THERE.... IF SO...then DO NOT USE IT!!!
    Additional adapter

New storing device fits at the end of the keyboard cable connecting to the PC specialized to save all typed keys in it.
Mostly could be used in net cafes, exhibitions, hotels and airports therefore be careful especially the people who use the internet in these places to enter their bank accounts online or any other important sites.
After you enter the bank account and leave the PC it will be easy to open your account again as all what you have typed has been saved in the Black device.

Therefore, you should check the PC for any suspicious piece behind it before using the net in public places for important sites.

Please send it to all who you know to educate them against this fraud.

    How To Increase Google PageRank?

Google Page Rank is a quantitative measurement by Google of the importance of a website. Google uses a complex equation to arrive at a value for the rank of a page. The higher the rank the better your site is visible among the billions of sites out there and better are chances of people finding your site..............

    WHAT IS GOOGLE PAGE RANK?

Google Page Rank is a number between 1 to 10 given to a web page which shows the importance of that page. It is also calculated for the whole site. Thus your blog is given a Page Rank and each page within your blog is also given a Rank.It depends on the number and quality of other pages linking to your page.

It is calculated by a complex equation which is beyond the scope of this blog. To see the pagerank download the Google Toolbar. You can also download a Firefox extension which shows the page rank in the bottom frame of the browser.

    TIPS TO INCREASE YOUR PAGERANK

    1. Increase your content and get it indexed and crawled by Google. The more original content and pages your site has, the higher will be the pagerank of your site. Update site as frequently as possible with quality content.

2 Put text navigation links to all your pages on the home page. This can be done in the New Blogger with the Archive widget using the Hierarchy module which provides titles of all your pages. In your blog Settings------>Archives------>Enable Post Pages----->Set to Yes and ------>Save Settings. This will give each post on your blog it's own page. Every time you create a post you will create a new page. Do not have page URLs with numbers and question marks (dynamically loaded pages).

    3. Link to your home page from every page in your blog. This is done by making your blog header clickable to the home page.

    4. Link to other pages in your blog from every other page. Put links to other pages with reference to context in your articles. Since each page does not exist in isolation from the rest of the blog. Any new visitor to your blog page may not have visited your previous pages to understand the full story. Provide links to them so that anyone can quickly visit them to understand more details of what you are talking about.

    5. Put outgoing links on another page with a low page rank and not on your home page which has a higher rank. Putting them on your home page will bleed the higher page rank to other sites. For example on Blogger you can put your Blogroll on the post pages using Conditional tags.

    6. If you want to put links on the home page yet prevent them from leaching your page rank you can put them in a link list widget and add the rel='nofollow' tag to the code. This will prevent Google spiders from following the links but your visitors can still click on them and visit the other sites. To do this login to Dashboard and click on Layout. Then click on Edit Html subtab of Template tab. First backup your template. Then put a check in Expand Widgets Template box atthetop and scroll down to following code in your Link List widget :

  • AND CHANGE IT TO :

  • Save Template.

    7. Get linked from high Page Rank sites/pages. If someone promises you a link make sure he/she is not using the above tricks and putting your link on an inside low page rank page. Also the page with your link should not be a link farm with plenty of links. One way links are better than reciprocal link exchanges. Links from sites with the same subject as your site are better than links from irrelevant sites.

    8. Submit your sitemap to Google. Register your site at Google Webmaster Tools.

    9. Free Tools/Graphics/Templates when distributed with a link to your site will give your site a higher Page Rank due to all those inbound links. A prime example is statcounter.com whose Page rank is 10 (highest) because of those links from counters installed in millions of blogs. Distributors of free Wordpress templates also have a high page rank. Submitting articles to article directories also has a similar effect.

    10. Last but not the least : Let your money do the talking - Pay for inclusion in high page rank directories or purchase links on high page rank pages.

    CHECK YOUR GOOGLE PAGE RANK

You can check your blog page rank and even the page rank of your individual posts. Just copy and paste your blog url or your post url at the boxes provided at any of the sites here and press Enter.

NOTE : A higher page rank does not mean that your site will automatically appear on the first page of the search engine result pages (SERPs) returned by Google. That is decided by Search Rank and will be the subject of my next post.

Windows 7 Review: XP vs Vista vs 7 in 80+ Benchmarks

Finally, Microsoft releases a successor worthy of Windows XP

For the Windows faithful, it’s been a tough eight years. With the launch of Windows XP in 2001, we thought we were poised on a brink of a new world of NT-based goodness—but two years and uncountable exploits later, the future of Windows was grim. Facing a never-ending torrent of new ‘sploits, worms, and trojans, Microsoft fired back with the single greatest operating system update of all time—Service Pack 2. In the single fell swoop of SP2, Windows XP went from Swiss cheese to secure, and once again we were poised to enter the promised land with… (wait for it)… Vista.

Of course, we all know how Vista turned out. Haunted by poor performance in everything from games to disk access to networking, Vista is widely considered to be Microsoft’s biggest failure. Nonetheless, Vista laid the groundwork for a host of new technologies, all absolutely vital to pushing Windows into the 21st century. Vista’s new, modern driver architecture was designed to move core functionality from the kernel (where any instability can bring down the whole system) to user space—an absolutely necessary development. Likewise, Vista’s proper enforcement of permissions for both users and applications enhanced security, even though UAC remains very annoying. And once vendors fixed their driver flaws and Microsoft squashed some underlying bugs, Vista morphed into an entirely workable operating system, even if we still wouldn’t describe it as “good.”

So, as 2009 draws to a close, we find ourselves testing another new Microsoft OS: Windows 7. Building on the now-mature technologies introduced with Vista, but with a renewed focus on performance and ease-of-use, Windows 7 seems poised to succeed where Vista couldn’t. We’ve finally received a final build of Win7, and have run it through the wringer in both the Lab and in the real-world. Here’s what we found.

    New Features

While support for new hardware and improved security are perfectly valid reasons to upgrade your OS, the sexiest benefits of an operating system upgrade are all the new features. Indeed, from a completely revamped user interface to brand-new features designed to make organizing and sharing your files easier, Windows 7 delivers much more than some new wallpaper and a different color Taskbar. (Though there are lots of new wallpapers.)

    User Interface Enhancements

The most obvious changes from previous versions of Windows to Windows 7 can be found in a redesigned user interface. Sure, much of the interface remains the same, but Microsoft has completely overhauled key elements, starting with the Taskbar.

    The New Taskbar

After 14 years of nothing more than cosmetic changes, Microsoft’s redesign of the Taskbar combines the pure window organizing power of the classic Taskbar with the application-launching, multi-purpose convenience of Mac OS X’s Dock. In addition to showing the applications that you currently have open, the new Windows 7 Taskbar also hosts shortcuts to your most commonly used applications. Click a shortcut when the app is running, and it brings the most recently used window to the foreground. Click the same shortcut when the app is closed, and it will launch the app.

But that’s not all. Drag a file onto a shortcut in the Taskbar, and Windows will open the file using that app. Hover your mouse over a running application’s icon, and it expands to show live thumbnail previews of all of that app’s windows, floating just above the Taskbar. Mouse over a thumbnail, and Windows will bring that particular window to the foreground. You can even close individual windows from the thumbnail previews.

For anyone who regularly finds himself with more than 10 windows open, the new Taskbar is a dream come true.

    Jump Lists

Another core enhancement to the OS comes in the form of Jump Lists. In short, Jump Lists put frequently used files in a convenient menu that’s a simple click away from the shortcut icon on the Taskbar or on the Start Menu. Apps that support Jump Lists will display the list when you right click on the shortcut, or when you left-click and drag the mouse up away from the Taskbar. Additionally, some apps will automatically populate their Jump List with files you recently opened.

    New Shortcuts

Along with the redesigned UI elements comes a whole new world of user-interface shortcuts. There are really too many to get into here, but the best of the new shortcuts allow you to maximize a window by dragging it to the top of the screen, minimize it by dragging it to the bottom, maximize to half your screen by dragging it to either edge, or (our favorite) minimizing all other windows by shaking the one you want to focus on. Furthermore, enhancements to alt+tab let you immediately find lost windows, and you can use the Windows key and numbers 1 through 0 to launch the first ten shortcuts on your Taskbar. And when those apps are already open, you can cycle through multiple windows by pressing the app’s keyboard shortcut again.

    Explorer Enhancements

Windows Explorer also receives some much-needed love. The changes since Vista are relatively minor, but they serve to make the left-column of Explorer the quickest way to navigate to any folder on your hard drive, network, or even in the cloud. Furthermore, you can arrange the different categories in any way you want, quickly add special folders to the Favorites section, and even hide sections you don’t use.

The other main place to access the file browser is the shortcut bar on the right column of the Start Menu. In Windows 7, there are more folders that you can choose to display there, including Downloads and Recorded TV. However, you still can’t place any folder you choose in one of those precious slots.

We Hope You Like the Ribbon

The controversial Ribbon, which replaced traditional menus and shortcut bars in Office 2007, is prominently featured in Windows 7. In the applets that ship with the OS, you’ll see the Ribbon featured prominently.

    Death Sentence for Ajmal Kasab.!

    Thu, May 6 02:18 PM

A Mumbai Special Court, which conducted the trial of 26/11 terror strikes, announced the death penalty for Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist. The sentencing by Judge M L Tahiliyani makes Kasab the 52nd person on death row in India. Kasab was handed capital punishment for killing 72 people and waging war against the state.

Kasab got the death sentence on four counts, while he got life-term in five other cases.

    Spotlight: 26/11 trial

Kasab, a Pakistan citizen, has turned into one of India's costliest prisoners. Till now, the Government has spent over 35 crore rupees for his safety.

Public prosecutor, Ujjwal Nikam, described him as "worse than a wild beast... Kasab is a killing machine... and the orders for this machine came from Pakistan."

On Monday, Kasab was found guilty on more than 80 of the 86 charges brought against him for planning and executing the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.

The death penalty will not be implemented immediately. Kasab has the option of appealing to higher courts, and can also file a mercy petition for the consideration of the President.

Special Public Prosecutor in the Mumbai attack case Ujjwal Nikam today expressed happiness over awarding of death sentence to Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab for the carnage, saying the verdict has delivered justice to the families of the victims. "I am happy about the verdict.

Nikam, who fought India's biggest terror attack case, said the "fair and open trial in the case" has given the message to the entire world that in India everybody, even a dreaded terrorist, gets full opportunity to defend himself. Speaking on the trial procedure in the special court, he said Kasab tried every trick to mislead the court on several occasions. "Sometimes he would ask for chicken biriyani, sometimes he would tell us that he wanted to tie a rakhi. He used all the theatrics so as to save himself," Nikam said

The 22-year-old Kasab, from Pakistan's Punjab province was seen crying as he was led back to the court room after stepping out briefly with the judge's consent to drink water.

At one point, special judge M.L. Tahaliyani asked the defence lawyer if Kasab wanted to say something. When the question was posed to him, Kasab just shook his head. He looked irritated and again sat down. The judge then spoke directly to the prisoner in Hindi: 'Do you want to say something?' Kasab looked at the judge blankly, shook his head and sat down.

Speaking later, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said: "Those were crocodile tears." Nikam went on to recite a Sanskrit verse to mean that no matter how much milk is given to a snake, it will always spew venom.
