Compare Loading Time of Two Websites with Which Loads Faster

Speeding up your website is very important because nowadays search engines take the average load time of websites as one of the factors for ranking. Moreover, faster sites create a good user experience and it’s very essential on the part of website owners to optimize their website for faster loading.
There are several tools to measure the load time of your blog or website, but have you ever compared the average loading times of two websites side by side ?
Which Loads Faster is a nice web service which lets you compare the loading time of any two webpage side by side. Just head over to the home page and enter the URL’s in the text box as shown below:
Hit the “Go” button and the site will split the screen and load both the websites side by side. When both the websites have finished loading, you will be shown the average load time of each and the comparison in percentage. This is very useful, when you are comparing the load times of two websites or may be comparing two pages of your blog to find out which one loads faster.
There is another “Race” feature which lets you compare a series of URL’s in both frames. This will be handy when you are comparing a group or set of pages and want them to load automatically when the previous one has finished loading.
To try the “Race” feature, click the Race link on the site’s navigation menu and enter the “sets” of URL’s one by one

Play Snake on any YouTube Video

I did not believe it when I first heard of it either. The “MIND = BLOWN” part is usually thrown in for suckers by trolls. Well, this time it was not a troll, and the easter egg was for real.
As neoconnor1111 says in his video’s description, YouTube has a “wierd [sic] secret”. If you press and hold the left arrow key while playing a YouTube video, a small overlay pops up. What is this overlay? A game of Snake. It seems Google does like its retro gaming a lot.
snakeonyoutube
This works on any video (obviously), and the best part is that you can keep playing the game while the video is being buffered (and played) in the background.
I believe this is where Buffering Boredom has met its match.

Congratulation, Mr D Uday Kumar for giving us such a simple and innovative symbol for Indian Rupee to fixed its position in International markets. Now India also can use its own currency symbol for all international activities in financial markets. It is the answer to all the strong currency symbol in world available to know that the status of Indian currency symbol in international financial market. The new symbol is a blend of the Devanagari à¤° and the Roman capital ‘R’ without the stem. The parallel lines at the top(with white space between them) make an allusion to the tricolor Indian flag. With this the rupee will be the fifth currency in the world after the US dollar, the UK pound, the euro and the Japanese yen to have its own symbol. The Indian government will try to adopt the symbol within six months in the country and globally within 18 to 24 months.

101 Google tips, tricks and hacks

Looking for the ultimate tips for Google searching? You've just found the only guide to Google you need. Let's get started:

1. The best way to begin searching harder with Google is by clicking the Advanced Search link.

2. This lets you search for exact phrases, "all these words", or one of the specified keywords by entering search terms into the appropriate box.

3. You can also define how many results you want on the page, what language and what file type you're looking for, all with menus.

4. Advanced Search lets you type in a Top Level Domain (like .co.uk) in the "Search within site of domain" box to restrict results.

5. And you can click the "Date, usage rights, numeric range and more" link to access more advanced features.

6. Save time – most of these advanced features are also available in Google's front page search box, as command line parameters.

7. Google's main search invisibly combines search terms with the Boolean construct "AND". When you enter smoke fire – it looks for smoke AND fire.

8. To make Google search for smoke or fire, just type smoke OR fire

9. Instead of OR you can type the
symbol, like this: smoke
fire

10. Boolean connectors like AND and OR are case sensitive. They must be upper case.

11. Search for a specific term, then one keyword OR another by grouping them with parentheses, like this: water (smoke OR fire)

12. To look for phrases, put them in quotes: "there's no smoke without fire"

13. Synonym search looks for words that mean similar things. Use the tilde symbol before your keyword, like this: ~eggplant

14. Exclude specific key words with the minus operator. new pram -ebay excludes all results from eBay.

15. Common words, like I, and, then and if are ignored by Google. These are called "stop words".

16. The plus operator makes sure stop words are included. Like: fish +and chips

17. If a stop word is included in a phrase between quote marks as a phrase, the word is searched for.

18. You can also ask Google to fill in a blank. Try: Christopher Columbus discovered *

19. Search for a numerical range using the numrange operator. For example, search for Sony TV between £300 and £500 with the string Sony TV £300..£500

20. Google recognises 13 main file types through advanced search, including all Microsoft Office Document types, Lotus, PostScript, Shockwave Flash and plain text files.

21. Search for any filetype directly using the modifier filetype:[filetype extension]. For example: soccer filetype:pdf

22. Exclude entire file types, using the same Boolean syntax we used to exclude key words earlier: rugby -filetype:doc

23, In fact, you can combine any Boolean search operators, as long as your syntax is correct. An example: "sausage and mash" -onions filetype:doc

24. Google has some very powerful, hidden search parameters, too. For example "intitle" only searches page titles. Try intitle:herbs

25. If you're looking for files rather than pages – give index of as the intitle: parameter. It helps you find web and FTP directories.

26. The modifier inurl only searches the web address of a page: give inurl:spices a go.

27. Find live webcams by searching for: inurl:view/view.shtml

28. The modifier inanchor is very specific, only finding results in text used in page links.

29. Want to know how many links there are to a site? Try link:sitename – for example link:www.mozilla.org

30. Similarly, you can find pages that Google thinks are related in content, using the related: modifier. Use it like this: related:www.microsoft.com

31. The modifier info:site_name returns information about the specified page.

32. Alternatively, do a normal search then click the "Similar Pages" link next to a result.

33. Specify a site to search with the site: modifier – like this: search tips site:www.techradar.com

34. The above tip works with directory sites like www.dmoz.org and dynamically generated sites.

35. Access Google Directory – a database of handpicked and rated sites – at directory.google.com

36. The Boolean operators intitle and inurl work in Google directory, as does OR.

37. Use the site: modifier when searching Google Images, at images.google.com. For example: dvd recorder site:www.amazon.co.uk

38. Similar, using "site:.com" will only return results from .com domains.

39. Google News (news.google.com) has its own Boolean parameters. For example "intext" pulls terms from the body of a story.

40. If you use the operator "source:" in Google News, you can pick specific archives. For example: heather mills source:daily_mail

41. Using the "location:" filter enables you to return news from a chosen country. location:uk for example.

42. Similarly, Google Blogsearch (blogsearch.google.com) has its own syntax. You can search for a blog title, for example, usinginblogtitle:43. The general search engine can get very specific indeed. Trymovie: to look for movie reviews.

44. The modifier film: works just as well!

45. Enter showtimes and Google will prompt you for your postcode. Enter it and it'll tell you when and where local films are showing.

46. For a dedicated film search page, go to www.google.co.uk/movies

47. If you ticked "Remember this Location" when you searched for show times, the next time you can enter the name of a current film instead.

48. Google really likes movies. Try typing director: The Dark Knight into the main search box.

49. For cast lists, try cast: name_of_film

50. The modifier music: followed by a band, song or album returns music reviews.

51. Try searching for weather London – you'll get a full 4-day forecast.

52. There's also a built-in dictionary. Try define: in the search box.

53. Google stores the content of old sites. You can search this cache direct with the syntax keyword cache:site_url

54. Alternatively, enter cache:site_url into Google's search box to be taken direct to the stored site.

55. No calculator handy? Use Google's built in features. Try typing 12*15 and hitting "Google Search".

56. Google's calculator converts measurements and understands natural language. Type in 14 stones in kilos, for example.

57. It does currency conversion too. Try 200 pounds in euros

58. If you know the currency code you can type 200 GBP in EUR instead for more reliable results.

59. And temperature! Just type: 98 f to c to convert Fahrenheit to Centigrade.

60. Want to know how clever Google really is? Type 2476 in roman numerals, then hit "Google Search"...

61. You can personalise your Google experience by creating a Google account. Go to www.google.com/account/ then click "Create Account".

62. With a Google account there are lots more extras available. You'll get a free Gmail email account for one...

76. Looking for a map? Just add map to the end of your query, like this: Leeds map

77. Google finds images just as easily and lists them at the top, when you add image to the end of your search.

Google Translates Wikipedia In Hindi, Guajarati, Kannada, Telugu and Arabic

Earlier today, I tweeted "I visit almost 15-20 Wikipedia page on any given day, without it I would definitely be lost, its the 2nd Google for me" and everything about it true. My first go-to for information has almost always been Wikipedia, and the fact that Wikipedia articles are available on the first page of Google search results has also played a big part in it.
Wikipedia Articles Language Graph
Wikipedia is available in multiple languages, however, it is still not available in Indian and Arabic languages which makes it difficult for non-English speaking Indians and Arabians to find information. For the past few months, Google has been working with volunteers, translators and Wikipedia folks across India, Middle East and Africa to translate more than 16 million words on Wikipedia.
The result is there to show as several Wikipedia articles are now available in Arabic, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Swahili, Tamil and Telugu. Google has used search data and Google Trends data to identify the words which needed translation and used their Translator Toolkit to translate articles in the above languages.
Google plans to add more translations to Wikipedia in its attempt to make one of the best information resources more accessible. Anyone who is interested can volunteer and join in the translation efforts to make Wikipedia more accessible to users.

Confidential Windows 8 Details Leaked

Windows 8 is still a long way off, but Microsoft has already started communicating with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) regarding the general direction they wish to take with Windows 8. Microsoft enthusiast, Francisco Martin, managed to get his hands on some of the confidential documents sent under non-disclosure agreement to select partners.

One of the areas, Microsoft is putting a lot of emphasis on is the system startup time. Microsoft wants Windows 8 enabled systems to focus on POST performance, S3 resume support and general performance optimizations for each of the Off states.

Windows 8 will also be better adapted to take advantage of modern trends like facial recognition for user authentication, automatic display adjustment through ambient light sensors and premium media experiences such as stereoscopic 3D and Wireless TVs. All this will be complemented by cutting edge graphics, which can be leveraged by developers to provide a rich user experience.

As expected, Windows 8 will support high speed connectivity options like USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0. Microsoft is also working on improving Bitlocker (hard disk encryption tool

) and System Restore to make them more functional and easier to use. Windows 8 will feature a new factory reset option, to restore your system to the original condition.

I am sure that this is only the beginning. In the coming weeks and months, we will be learning more about Windows 8. Stay tuned to Techie Buzz for mor

FUJIFILM FinePix Real 3D W1 - world's first 3D camera [review] - price Rs. 39,999

If price were not to be a constraint, the camera appeals as an average 2D camera for casual and household use; but really fails to do justice as a high-end 3D camera incorporating full 2D functionality that could satisfy the needs of a performance hungry user.

Pros
  • Incorporates Face Detection 3 technology - captures faster & accurate images even with moving subjects
  • Adds the benefit of Red-Eye Removal technology
  • Equipped with dual CCD sensors to capture stereoscopic 3D images

Cons
  • The camera does not ship with an optical view finder
  • The bulky camera does not ship with a carry bag or camera pouch
  • 3D goggles not shipped with the camera
Overview:
FUJIFILM owns the leadership in building the world's first 3D digital camera 'Finepix Real 3D W1' with two stereoscopic lenses (left and right) and two 10MP image sensors. It lets the user to shoot both 2D and 3D images/videos and view them on the 2.8-inch LCD screen without the use of 3D goggles. However, to view the 3D stereoscopic images on the computer, one has to wear the 3D goggles or one has to purchase the 3D Viewer from Fujifilm.
Build Quality:

The FinePix Real 3D W1 is quite bulky due to the presence of two separate lenses with two 10MP sensors. It has a strong and sturdy all-plastic body casing with a piano black finish, and dimensions of 123.6 (W) x 68 (H) x 25.6 (D) mm. it hardly weighs 260g. However, its slightly bulky body and delicate nature of the LCD screen would prompt us to carry it in a camera pouch or a camera bag for better safety. It has an appealing look with metallic black and silver colour schemes, bright-blue illuminated controls and a sliding door acting as lens cover. In spite of having a metallic finish, the body shell provides a comfortable grip for improved dexterity while handling the camera. The overall build quality mirrors the standards of an average digital camera.

Features and Functionality:
Sliding down the lens cover on the front of the FinePix Real 3D W1 reveals two 3x optical zoom lenses, built-in flash unit at the center and mini-stereo speakers on either side. The 35 to 105mm effective focal range stands out in 3D photography where it is difficult to produce a 3D image with a fixed focal length lens. The zoom control and shutter button are located on top of the camera, along with an infrared port that is intended to allow the user to send or receive images (but not movies) from another Fujifilm camera or device with high-speed IR capability (however the IR functionality test failed during our review). The factory recommended range to share images through IR capability is: 5-20cm between the camera and the other device. Also, the two infrared ports should be aligned at an angle of 15 degrees or lesser and pointing at each other to get proper signal reception. Other notable feature of the FinePix Real 3D W1 is the automatic image compression technology that re-sizes the image file before transmitting to the other device over Infrared. A battery and memory card compartment is located at the bottom of the camera, along with a plastic tripod socket at the center.
Since the manufacturer shipped only with a 3D camera without the 3D viewer or print service, we could only test the 3D image quality on the FinePix Real 3D W1's LCD screen. We could feel the 3D realism in the text that appeared in the menus over the LCD screen and also while shooting in the 3D mode. However, it is good to note that we are getting a stereoscopic image, creating an illusion of depth from two layered images presented separately to each eye in 2D to simulate a 3D effect. It is not literally true 3D.
2D snapshot with flash
Basically shooting a 3D image involves 'aim and shoot' technique and the automatic parallax control feature enabled by default comes in handy for this purpose. The automatic parallax control takes care of adjusting the 3D images to avoid mis-aligned subjects in the 3D frame. However, there is a manual mode also available for the enthusiastic and professional photographers to tinker and adjust the 3D image settings.

Gaining New Twitter Followers Fast and Easy!

    Hey Everyone!
So you Say you want to gain more Twitter Followers Fast. There are plenty of sites and services out there today that promise to get you thousands of followers in no time flat. Become the next big thing on Twitter!
Well just like anything else on the internet ” If it was so easy and everyone would do it, Then why don’t they”.  Most of the set it and forget it following sites have a Free and a Pro option. Let me very quickly explain to you how this works with just about any Free vs Pro system of Marketing or Advertising or pretty much whatever program that you can find today. The pro members and website owners are really the only ones who get a good deal! And how you might ask? Off the Backs of the people who sign-up for Free. ( I’ll be doing a Free Vs Pro article Soon )
Anyways, The site that I want to review today is called Twiends ( formerly known as Fast Followers). The way it works is based on a credit system. You follow others and the credit amount they offer for you to follow them is put in your account, Which you then offer for others to follow you. On the credit system the house always gets one credit so say you offer 4 credits per follower when it shows on the site it will display as 3 credits per follower.
It’s a very easy way to gain followers fast and one of the best things is the Unfollow rate seems to be quite low ( They are doing the same as you, Looking for Followers ) and you know that because they are there they are Active Twitter Users.  If you hold your mouse over the picture of the person you are thinking about following the system will tell you a little about the person and whether they tend to unfollow people allot.
There are a couple of other resources as well, You can use your FaceBookaccount to gain fans or become a fan. You can also post your website as well. ( I’ve been getting a bit of traffic from people looking at my site, But am not sure how productive it is yet ) You can gain Credits as by looking at other websites in the system as well. It kind of reminds me of a traffic exchange in a way.
Well that’s about it for today and If your looking to build your twitter follower count, You should give Twiends a try.

Hack Software and Run the Trial Program Forever

In this post I’ll show you how to hack a Software and run the trial program forever. Most of us are familiar with many softwares that run only for a specified period of time in the trial mode. Once the trial period is expired these softwares stop functioning and demand for a purchase. But there is a way to run the softwares and make them function beyond the trial period. Isn’t this interesting?
Before I tell you how to hack the software and make it run in the trial mode forever, we have to understand the functioning of these softwares. I’ll try to explain this in brief.
When these softwares are installed for the first time, they make an entry into the Windows Registry with the details such as Installed Date and Time, installed path etc. After installation every time you run the software, it compares the current system date and time with the installed date and time. So, with this it can make out whether the trial period is expired or not.
So with this being the case, just manually changing the system date to an earlier date will not solve the problem. For this purpose there is a small Tool known as RunAsDate.
RunAsDate is a small utility that allows you to run a program in the date and time that you specify. This utility doesn’t change the current system date, but it only injects the date/time that you specify into the desired application.
RunAsDate intercepts the kernel API calls that returns the current date and time (GetSystemTime, GetLocalTime, GetSystemTimeAsFileTime), and replaces the current date/time with the date/time that you specify. It works with Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and 7
    NOTE: FOLLOW THESE TIPS CAREFULLY
You have to follow these tips carefully to successfully hack a software and make it run in it’s trial mode forever.
    1. Note down the date and time, when you install the software for the first time.
    2. Once the trial period expires, you must always run the software using RunAsDate.
    3. After the trial period is expired, do not run the software(program) directly. If you run the software directly even once, this hack may no longer work.
    4. It is better and safe to inject the date of the last day in the trial period.
For example, if the trial period expires on jan 30 2009, always inject the date as jan 29 2009 in the RunAsDate. I hope this helps! Please express your experience and opinions through comments.
